Burgess Hill

Although parts of the World's End district in the North East are across the boundary of the county in East Sussex's Lewes district, Burgess Hill is just on the West Sussex side of the border dividing the counties. As a result of the proximity of Burgess Hill to Brighton expanding and the railway arrival, led to a people influx looking for living places. One can travel to Worthing from Portsmouth, Littlehampton, and Burgess Hill, on the West Coastway Line branch, and from Wivelsfield, one can travel towards Hastings on a East Coastway Line's branch. On the east side is the Country Park of Ditchling Common, a (0.76 km2) 188-acre common land area, set up in 1975 and Burgess Hill contains one nature reserve, Bedelands. One of the towns to retain an independent cinema is Burgess Hill. In Isthmian Premier Division, Burgess Hill Town plays football.
